๐Ÿ— Homemade Butter Chicken Recipe

๐Ÿ“ Ingredients:

For Chicken Marinade:

  • 500g boneless chicken (cubes)
  • 1/2 cup yogurt ๐Ÿฅ›
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice ๐Ÿ‹
  • Salt to taste

For Gravy:

  • 2 tbsp butter ๐Ÿงˆ
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 onions (finely chopped) ๐Ÿง…
  • 3 tomatoes (pureed) ๐Ÿ…
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 cup fresh cream ๐Ÿฅ›
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
  • Salt to taste

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ Instructions:

Step 1: Marinate Chicken

  • Mix chicken with yogurt, spices, lemon juice, and salt
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (best 2โ€“3 hours)

Step 2: Cook Chicken

  • Heat a pan and cook marinated chicken
  • Cook until tender and slightly golden
  • Set aside

Step 3: Prepare Gravy

  • Heat butter + oil in a pan
  • Add onions and cook until golden brown
  • Add ginger garlic paste and sautรฉ

Step 4: Add Tomatoes & Spices

  • Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates
  • Add chili powder, turmeric, salt, and garam masala

Step 5: Combine Chicken

  • Add cooked chicken into gravy
  • Mix well and cook for 5โ€“7 minutes

Step 6: Add Cream

  • Add fresh cream and mix gently
  • Add sugar (optional) for restaurant-style taste
  • Cook for 2โ€“3 minutes

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Serving:

  • Garnish with butter and fresh coriander ๐ŸŒฟ
  • Serve hot with naan, roti, or rice

  • For smoky flavor, use coal (dhungar method) ๐Ÿ”ฅ
  • Use cashew paste for richer gravy
  • Donโ€™t overcook after adding cream
