🎂 Basic Vanilla Cake Recipe

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter (room temperature)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • A pinch of salt

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F)
  • Grease a cake pan and line it with baking paper

2. Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a bowl, combine:
    • flour
    • baking powder
    • baking soda
    • salt
  • Mix and sift well

3. Cream Butter & Sugar

  • Beat butter and sugar together
  • Until it becomes light and fluffy

👉 This step makes the cake soft


4. Add Eggs

  • Add eggs one at a time
  • Mix well after each egg

5. Add Vanilla & Milk

  • Add vanilla essence
  • Slowly add milk and mix

6. Combine Mixtures

  • Gradually add dry ingredients into the wet mixture
  • Mix gently (do not overmix)

7. Bake

  • Pour batter into the pan
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes

👉 Check with a toothpick:
If it comes out clean, the cake is ready ✅


8. Cool & Serve

  • Let the cake cool for 10–15 minutes
  • Remove from pan and serve 🎉

🍰 Tips:

  • Do not overmix (it makes cake hard)
  • You can add chocolate chips or dry fruits
  • You can decorate with cream for a birthday cake
